Generate multiple passwords at once
Set how many passwords you need (1 to 1,000), choose a length and character set, and press Generate passwords. Each line is an independent random password. Use Copy all to paste the list into a spreadsheet, or Download .txt to save a file — the file is built in your browser, not on a server.
Typical uses
- User onboarding. Create one unique initial password per student, employee or customer, then import the list next to the usernames in a CSV.
- Device provisioning. Unique admin passwords for routers, IP cameras, printers or point-of-sale terminals — never the factory default.
- Test data. Realistic password fields for QA databases and load tests.
- Vouchers and access codes. Untick symbols and lowercase for case-insensitive codes that are easy to read.
Excluding specific characters
Importing into a CSV, a shell script or an Excel formula? Characters like , " ' ; and = can break the import. Type them into Exclude these characters and they will never appear in any password in the list.
Handling a password list safely
- Store the downloaded file only as long as you need it, ideally on an encrypted drive.
- Deliver each password to its owner through a separate channel from the username.
- Require a password change at first sign-in — see temporary passwords.
- Securely delete the file once the passwords have been distributed.
Is every password in the list unique?
Each password is drawn independently. With 16 characters from 94 symbols there are about 4 × 10³¹ possible values, so the chance of two identical passwords in a list of 1,000 is roughly 1 in 10²⁶ — far less likely than winning every lottery on Earth at once.
